An elevator door that won’t close?

We hear people talk about how sometimes the elevator door won’t close, or how the elevator door will keep opening and closing repeatedly at night, which is especially scary. Such descriptions placed in a night scene create a scary atmosphere.

An elevator door that won't close

In fact, the elevator’s floor door can not be closed, is another reason.

Nowadays, elevator doors have a layer of light curtains, the role of which is to prevent people from entering the elevator when the layer of doors caught. The principle of the light curtain is through one side of the infrared emission received on the other side, so when people enter the elevator, the infrared is blocked, the door machine signal reception interruption, the elevator hall door will not collide into the elevator passengers. Elevator floor door can not be closed, part of the reason is that the light curtain on the accumulation of dust affects the signal transmission, it will not close the floor door.

It is also a common cause when there is a lot of garbage on the floor cantilever of the floor door that prevents the door from closing. In order to ensure that passengers are not pinched, there is a national standard that stipulates that the door closing force should not be greater than 300N (30KG), which leads to abnormal elevator door opening and closing when the resistance is greater than normal.

Other causes of the elevator door switch is not normal: door lock safety circuit is not normal, switch door limit state is not right.

In addition to the above reasons, there is another situation, that is, as long as the wind is big, the elevator door may not be able to close, maintenance personnel to the scene to repair the elevator after the reply, the elevator itself does not have a problem.

The reason is that when the wind pressure is too large, it will make the elevator door default to external forces to push the door, thus starting the safety protection. If the gale is not long, you can consider closing the doors and windows on the 1st floor to reduce the wind. However, if there is a long period of time when the door is blown by high winds, you need to consider making adjustments to the elevator and surrounding facilities.
Solutions

Option 1: Simply increase the self-closing force by replacing heavier weights or springs with greater elasticity.

This solution means that a new hammer or spring needs to be developed, and the installation space also needs to be considered. Increasing the mass of the hammer means increasing the volume. Even if the self-closing force is increased, it still depends on the mood of the wind, and it is still a risk that the wind will not be able to close the door. It is difficult to control the wind through the hallways in different seasons. (First floor of the building or basement)

Option 2: Block the penetrating wind, according to the situation of the building, an additional door curtain in front of one of the aisles.
